2025 WCED SYSTEMIC TESTING PROGRAMME

The Test Date for Grades 3 and 6 is on 30 October 2025.

The sign-off for the learner register (verification of learners per class and LOLT) is Friday 25th July 2025

For details about the 2025 WCED Systemic Testing Programme, go to the menu bar and select ASSESSMENT AND EXAMS. From the dropdown menu choose "SYSTEMIC TESTING PROGRAMME 2025" and submenus will open from which you can select the following:

1. PROGRESSIONS AND PROMOTIONS 2025

On Tuesday morning, 18 November 2025, CEMIS will change from Operational Mode to Promotions Mode. The snapshot for the 2025 progressions and promotion will be taken at 12 midnight on 17 November 2025. After the CM has SIGNED OFF the schedules, Principals MUST ensure that the progression / promotion result captured on CEMIS is exactly the same as what is captured on their electronic schedules.

2. SCHOOL SELF EVALUATION SURVEY

This serves to inform schools that the 2026 School Improvement Plan (SIP) will be available from Monday 27 October 2025, 11am. Please note that the printable versions of previous years are available on CEMIS to assist schools with the completion of your workplans for the summative QMS Summative Scores.

Please take note of the following due dates:

Due date for sign off of SSE Instruments: 28 November 2025 Due date for sign off of draft SIP: 28 November 2025 Principal / Deputy Principal / Departmental Head Draft Workplans: 28 November 2025 Due date for sign off of final SIP: 6 February 2026 APIP sign off: 6 February 2026 Principal / Deputy Principal / Departmental Head Final Workplans: 30 January 2026

3. GRADE R SUBSIDY CLAIM PROCESS FOR OCTOBER 2025

With reference to Management Accounting Circular 0026/2024 and manual issued.

Grade R claims can now be submitted as per guidelines. Please ensure that a printout is been made and kept for audit purposes.

Opening and Closing Date: 13 - 16 October 2025

The system will be available from 11:00.

4. TERM PERFORMANCE - GET AND FET (UPLOADING)

The upload functionality for the 2025 GET schedules and FET subject record sheets is available on CEMIS.

All schools are required to upload their Term 3 performance data by Friday, 17 October 2025.

Please note: Life Sciences Grade 12 must use VERSION 2 of the subject record sheet. All other schedules and record sheets remain on VERSION 1.

5. 2026/27 NORMS AND STANDARDS PRELIMINARY ALLOCATIONS FOR PUBLIC ORDINARY SCHOOLS (GR R -12), INDEPENDENT SITES AND PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Your school's Norms and Standards Preliminary Allocation is published on CEMIS under the "Administration" menu option.

For Gr1-12 refer to circular 0022 or 0023/2025, for Grade R refer to Circular 0026/2025 for further particulars.

Applicable to Non-Section 21 Schools only, WCED 032 forms must not be based on the aforementioned Preliminary N&S allocation.

7. GRADES 1-12 RECORDING AND REPORTING PROGRAMMES (DOWNLOADING)

The programme files for the WCED Grades 1-12 (including Grade 12 part-time learners) recording and reporting programmes are now available.

Please ensure that your learner data, especially the LOLT (language of learning and teaching) on CEMIS, has been correctly captured.

For those schools currently utilizing SAMS, it is important to note that you are responsible for the management and maintenance of both distinct systems, CEMIS and SAMS.
