3. GRADES 1-12 RECORDING AND REPORTING PROGRAMMES (DOWNLOADING)
The programme files for the WCED Grades 1-12 recording and reporting programmes are now available.
Please ensure that your learner data, especially the LOLT (language of learning and teaching) on CEMIS, has been correctly captured.

4. WCED SYSTEMIC RESULTS for 2025
The 2025 WCED Systemic Results are now available on CEMIS under the “Exams/Assessments” menu option.
The Item Analysis Reports will be available soon.

5. ECD ANNUAL SCHOOL SURVEY 2026 (PUBLIC AND INDEPENDENT ECD CENTRES)
The 2026 ECD Annual school survey (ASS) is now available on CEMIS.
The ASS for ECD public and independent schools must be completed and signed off by the school principal on the CEMIS by 03 March 2026 (Knowledge and Information Management Minute: 0002/2023).
Please refer to the survey message on the survey menu for a guideline on completing the survey

6. 2026 SNAP SURVEY FOR SNE SCHOOLS
The SNAP Survey for public and independent special schools is now available on CEMIS under the "Surveys" menu option.
The sign-off due date is 03 March 2026.

7. TEXTBOOK ISSUED
The 2026 Textbook Issued capture screens is available under Administration menu.
Please note that schools must report textbook shortages (Mathematics and Languages) to their Circuit Managers before 20 February 2026

8. ANNUAL SCHOOL SURVEY 2026 (PUBLIC AND INDEPENDENT ORDINARY)
The 2026 Annual School Survey (ASS) is now available on CEMIS. The ASS for public and independent ORDINARY schools must be completed and signed off by the school principal on the CEMIS by 03 March 2026. (Knowledge and Information Management Minute: 0002/2026).
Sign off date is 03 March 2026.

9. 2025 ANNUAL ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE REPORT (AAPR)
The Annual Academic Performance Report will be available from Monday 24 November 2025, 11am on CEMIS under the “Administration” menu option.

10. SCHOOL SELF EVALUATION SURVEY
This serves to inform schools that the 2026 School Improvement Plan (SIP) will be available from Monday 27 October 2025, 11am.

Please note that the printable versions of previous years are available on CEMIS to assist schools with the completion of your workplans for the summative QMS Summative Scores.
Please take note of the following due dates:
  • Due date for sign off of SSE Instruments: 28 November 2025
  • Due date for sign off of draft SIP: 28 November 2025
  • Principal / Deputy Principal / Departmental Head Draft Workplans: 28 November 2025
  • Due date for sign off of final SIP: 6 February 2026
  • APIP sign off: 6 February 2026
  • Principal / Deputy Principal / Departmental Head Final Workplans: 30 January 2026

We are aware that some schools in the Western Cape (WC) are utilizing the School Administration and Management System (SAMS) in conjunction with CEMIS (Learner Tracking System). For those schools currently utilizing SAMS, it is important to note that you are responsible for the management and maintenance of both distinct systems, CEMIS and SAMS.
