1. GRADES 1-9 RECORDING AND REPORTING PROGRAMMES (DOWNLOADING)

Version 3.1 programme files for Grades 4-9 recording and reporting programmes are now available.

2. PROGRESSIONS AND PROMOTIONS 2025

Promotions are closed

On Monday morning, 18 November 2025, CEMIS will change from Operational Mode to Promotions Mode. After the CM has SIGNED OFF the schedules, Principals MUST ensure that the progression / promotion result captured on CEMIS is exactly the same as what is captured on their electronic schedules.

2. TEXTBOOK RETRIEVALS

The capture screens will be available between 19 November and 11 December 2025 under the "Administration" menu option.

3. 2024 ANNUAL ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE REPORT (AAPR)

The Annual Academic Performance Report will be available from Tuesday 19 November 2024 on CEMIS under the “Administration” menu option. The sign-off due date is 31 January 2025.

4. SCHOOL SELF EVALUATION SURVEY

This serves to inform schools that the 2025 School Improvement Plan (SIP) will be available from Tuesday 19 November 2024. Please note that the printable versions of previous years are available on CEMIS to assist schools with the completion of your workplans for the summative QMS Summative Scores.

Please take note of the following due dates:

Due date for sign off of SSE Instruments: 29 November 2024 Due date for sign off of draft SIP: 29 November 2024 Principal / Deputy Principal / Departmental Head Draft Workplans: 29 November 2024 Due date for sign off of final SIP: 7 February 2025 APIP sign off: 7 February 2025 Principal / Deputy Principal / Departmental Head Final Workplans: 21 February 2025

We are aware that some schools in the Western Cape (WC) are utilizing the School Administration and Management System (SAMS) in conjunction with CEMIS (Learner Tracking System). For those schools currently utilizing SAMS, it is important to note that you are responsible for the management and maintenance of both distinct systems, CEMIS and SAMS.
